The strain change trend of the specimens with respect to the number of loading cycle wereshown for both numerical and experimental analysis and two-step behavior were observed from both analyses. By comparing the results of numerical modeling and experiment, we can see that in lifeexpectancy, the minimum and maximum difference between the numerical and experimental results are 7.5% and 30%, respectively. These numbers correspond to the lowest and highest levels of applied stress. We can conclude that there is a good match between numerical modeling and experiment. Therefore, only the numericalmodeling can be used to predict the life of low-cycle aluminum foam, given the high cost of empirical experiments.
