Results of the current study showed no significant difference between the statistical distribution of gender, age, occupation and marital status among the three groups (p > 0.05). The mean age of the study groups was 42.73 ± 12.16 years old (range 20e60 years)(Table 2). Most of the study subjects (57.1%, 60 subjects) were male. The number of males and females in the two groups of relaxation and aromatherapy was equal, but in the control group, most of thesubjects were males (68%, 24 subjects). Most of the subjects in the relaxation, aromatherapy, and control groups were married. The unemployed subjects were the most frequent ones among therelaxation, aromatherapy, and control groups (Table 2).The results of the study showed that the mean score of fatigue after and before the intervention were as follows: the relaxation group (5.12 ± 1.05, 6.80 ± 1.45), aromatherapy group (3.64 ± 0.79,6.49 ± 1.11) and control group (6.21 ± 1.29, 6.44 ± 1.7). According to the results of the Chi-square test, there was a significant difference in the mean score of fatigue before and after the intervention between the relaxation and aromatherapy groups (p ¼ 0.001), but thisdifferencewas insignificant in the control group. Results of the oneway analysis showed that the changes in the mean score of fatigue in the aromatherapy group were significantly higher thanthose of the other two groups
