L.L.Bean's preferred method of transportation is ocean freight through our established network. Air Freight may be utilized in some instances through our established network and with proper approval.

Shipment Routing

All new vendors and existing vendors that do not ship regularly must complete the International Shipment Routing Questionnaire prior to their first shipment.

L.L.Bean International Transportation will e-mail specific forwarder, air and ocean shipping instructions based on your Term of Sale Location(s).

Complete a new questionnaire whenever there are any changes to your ship locations or contact information.

Shipper's Letter of Instruction

L.L.Bean Transportation will provide a Shippers Letter of Instruction indicating L.L.Bean's designated Forwarder and U.S. Customs Broker once the International Shipment Routing Questionnaire is received. This letter will also be sent to the designated L.L.Bean Forwarder and U.S. Customs Broker.
