It is very nice to hear from you.
Yes, as long as your hospital/university recognizes that your time with us is official to provide additional training for you, we will be fine.
Personal funding is also acceptable.  We will let you know if our University requires it.
After you have received formal approval from your hospital to spend 24 months with us, from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 3018, please let us know.  We should be able to prepare and send you the Letter of Invitation and Acceptance by November 1, 2016.
Please let us know if the time schedule is acceptable.
