文献法，是对已有的文献进行查阅和整理，是研究的一项基础性的工作。在选好课题之后查阅与研究课题相关的文献，会对研宄的各个部分提供有益的信息。本研究主要收集国内外关于游戏教学以及游戏在小学英语教学中应用等案例的资料，阅读并进行深入分析，为研宄提供依据，然后结合这些文献信息，明确研究的问题，理清研宄思路，为论文写作打下一定的理论基础。
