Dear Members of the Brandeis Community,

We are deeply saddened to inform you of the sudden death of a member of the Brandeis University family, undergraduate Zimeng “Boots” Xue. We offer our deepest condolences to Boot’s family, friends and loved ones.

During this time of great loss, we are reminded of the importance of community. Losing a fellow student and a member of our university can be very difficult. It is so very important for you to take care of yourself, your friends and your family. We encourage you to reach out to the support services offered on campus, including the Brandeis Counseling Center (781-736-3730) and the Multifaith Chaplaincy (781-736-3570). Additionally, counselors will be on site this evening in the Counseling Center until 10 p.m.
