Narrator: It's Friday night. Matilda is waiting for her husband, Paul to come home from work. The bell rings. Paul comes home and kisses Matilda. Paul: Hello, dear. Good news – We have been invited to a party! Matilda: You call that good news? Paul: Of course, a lot of important people will be there. Matilda: But look at my clothes – I can't wear them to the party! Paul: You can ask Jean to lend you something. Matilda: All right. If I can have a new dress, I will go. Narrator: It’s a beautiful night. Matilda wears her new dress and a diamond necklace which she borrowed from Jean. She looks wonderful and she enjoys the party very much; she dances with Paul for the whole evening! Narrator: It's midnight. Paul and Matilda arrive home. Matilda (taking off her coat): Oh, no! Where is my necklace? Paul: What? Matilda: Jean’s necklace! I've lost it! Oh, no! How can I tell Jean about this? It must cost millions of dollars!
