I. INTRODUCTION There are several investigations dealing with the analysis of motor’s current waveforms for determining the motor’s quality types. For instance, Waveform identification [1], certainty-based classifiers [2], Identifying dynamic model parameters [3], Adaptive wavelet transform [4], and Directionality and processivity algorithm [5]. There are many existing algorithms [1-5] which have good detection results for determining the motor’s quality types. However, if the analysis of motor’s current waveforms for determining the motor’s quality types measurement systems is applied to areas involving energy consumption, fast, reliable, and efficient algorithms are much important. So, this study proposes a simple and fast method for determining the motor’s quality types by using EDM is proposed.
