7. ConclusionTo conclude, it can be seen that the summarized review for the integrated solution contributed by the technologies of low energy / passive lighting system and building management systems has been accomplished with respect to the four stages, namely, construction, design, implementation, and integration, respectively, backed by the detailed review to the related literature. From the findings, it can be seen that the inclusion of the building management enhanced the full control of the lighting system so that the automation of the low energy units and passive lighting system can be operated according to the needs. i.e. the scheduled on and off, the automated dimming, etc. Apart from the customized and automated control, centralized management also benefits the overall energy use via turning off the unrequired units. Although the review is short, and the design may not be detail enough to support the practical implementation, it is hoped that the brief review to the integrated solution can reveal the attractiveness of the solutions and the application so as to foster the innovative environment for the local industry to apply their creativity to improve the quality of lives of the occupants.
