In an effort to enhance credibility, the authors engaged in multiple researcher triangulation. Researcher triangulation (Patton, 2002) involved multiple investigators in the analysis, three of whom were not involved as participant observers during the Project RISES (Restructuring for the Inclusion of Special Education Students) and had little stake in or knowledge of the development of the SMS program.
