My friend Nima Balan is a current chemistry student at Berkeley and is looking for roommates in her South Berkeley group house starting in July. I thought some of you might be interested, so she asked me to pass the information along. Here's what she wrote:
"Two of our roommates are moving out at the end of June and we're looking for a couple new roommates! The move in date would be end of June/beginning of July. About us: We're two physics grad students (Ellie, Vicky), and a chemistry grad student (Nima).
We've all been living here for about two years. About the place: 5BR/2BA house in a quiet neighborhood, located right next to Berkeley Bowl and Walgreens (and Sconehenge!). It's a ~10 min bike ride or ~25 min walk from campus, within a couple blocks of several bus stops, and a 10 min walk from the Ashby BART station. Amenities include dishwasher and washer/dryer. Rent for one room would be just over $900/mo plus utilities, and the other right around $1000/mo plus utilities. Rent difference is based off of room size and location.
