If you have ever gone on a diet, you know how hard it can be to avoid the things you love the most. That's because food is a source of comfort, and comfort is the first thing you long for when you are trying to do something difficult. But it isn't the food itself that is the problem. The problem is thinking about what you can't have rather than redirecting your energy to something healthier. You may now be distracted by something that is tempting, but not the best choice. To make progress with your goal you must change the direction of your energy toward something that will be better for you in the long run.
