Both the talent identified and non-talent identified players completed a multi-dimensional assessment that consisted of physical (standing height, dynamic vertical jump height non- dominant leg and a 20 m multistage fitness test [MSFT]), technical (kicking and handballing tests) and perceptual-cog- nitive (video decision-making task) performance outcome tests. The construction of this assessment was informed from the findings of Woods et al. (2015a; 2015c; 2015b) and thus the protocols, environmental considerations and criterion vari- ables for each performance assessment were as described within the previous work. These assessments were included in the current study as they provided the strongest prediction of talent within their respective studies.
