QUERY TO THE AUTHOR q1. AU: Merriam-Webster’s prefers “Goody Two-shoes” as the spelling, since the term is based on an 18th-century children’s book character. In my opinion, the caps may distract or confuse readers. If this were an article on the history of children’s literature or something like that, I could see the point of using M-W’s style, but I think it would be acceptable to use “goody two shoes” here given that it’s the term used by the students. What do you think?
