Two Bogie Flat Rail-carrying (BFR) wagons loaded with prestressed concrete sleepers of a fixed number were placed on the bridge structure at a fixed position (axle spacings are shown in Fig. 2). The response of all the sensors was taken for four different loading levels. In the first instance, 200 prestressed concrete sleepers were present on each of the two wagons. After the displacements and strains were measured at various locations on the bridge, 16 sleepers were removed from each wagon, and responses were measured at 184, 168, and 152 sleepers. Two hundred sleepers correspond to an axle load of 187 kN (20.75 t). The two wagons could apply a static load on both the spans of the bridge.
