As a whole, respondents evaluated security risk as the most significant risk factor to their overall risk perception. This finding supports the results of Kolsaker et al.’s study (2004) that examined financial transactions and personal information as being significant to understanding consumers’ risk perception in reserving air-tickets online. Compared to Kolsaker et al.’s study, which was conducted in Hong Kong, our similar results indicate that the importance of reducing security risks is considerable, regardless of cultural differences.
