Building & Property Services provide the overall asset, facilities and project management of buildings, plant and equipment owned or leased by Hutt Valley District Health Board within the Lower Hutt Region and Wellington Region.
We operate and manage facilities maintenance through a co-sourcing model of internal staff and contractor specialists. The co-sourced model includes management of technical disciplines in the following areas: Energy and utilities management, reticulated services management, building maintenance and the maintenance of critical engineering systems required for emergency response and communications.
We have a vacancy for an Electrician with determination to ensure that Hutt Valley District Health Board electrical requirements are maintained and are reliable. We require someone who is a problem solver, pragmatic, methodical and takes the initiative to support our maintenance team covering both maintenance and small works projects.
You will enjoy both working alone and in a team environment, on a diverse range of electrical systems. There is also a requirement to participate with an on-call, after-hours response.
Experience with controls and automation would be beneficial.
