Employees who are highly engaged in their work are more likely to recognize the importance and significance of their work, so nurses will be more motivated to meet the challenges of different working environments. Therefore, the study concludes that nurses with high job involvement are more willing to accept positions that require higher emotional labor, tend to be more cooperative in emotional management, and treat patients with compassion, thus promoting customer-oriented behavior. Whether actively expressing emotions or suppressing negative emotions, nurses with high job involvement will show their emotions according to the emotional management requirements of the hospital, thus strengthening customer-oriented behavior. Therefore, the study puts forward hypothesis 2(H2): Job involvement has a moderating effect on the relationship between emotional labor and customer-oriented behavior.
