the establishment of a graduate student union is nearing and the outcome will affect all of us whether or not you vote. There have already been several events organized and many emails sent by parties on both sides of the matter but these sources may have presented an incomplete or biased view. It is important that we make a well-informed decision.
The Student Affairs Committee of the University Senate, as a neutral third party, has organized a series of information sessions that aim to present a fair and comprehensive overview of the main issues. The first of these events is tonight 6-8pm (drop in/out), it is the only one that will be held at the CUMC campus. I strongly urge everyone who is available to attend. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
