Because grammar knowledge was one of the focuses of the target course , the present experiment took a three-hour onlinegrammar teaching class as the field setting. For the complete course, there were 5 three-hour online classes arranged for the participants. The experiment was conducted during the second online class. The same instructor was scheduled to perform onlineteaching to the three groups; therefore, the class hours for the three groups were arranged at different times.
