The main objectives of this work package are to
- to determine the effect of roll cooling on work roll surface degradation;
- to define specifications for an optimized cooling regarding water consumption and roll degradation;
- to design a new cooling system according to the previous specifications;
- to build and test the cooling system on the industrial roughing mill.
