Holidays in the United States usually happen at least once a month. Most months have a national holiday on Mondays. Then the workers may have 3-day weekends, that is, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. On these days people can rest or go to interesting places or do things with their families. Greater holidays in the United States are New Year’s Day, Chrisman Day and Thanksgiving Day. In these holidays most businesses close and the workers stay at home and celebrate with their families.
Holidays can be from 2 weeks a year. This usually depends on how long you’ve been working for a place, or what kind of work you do. Usually the more time you spend working for a place, the more time you may get for a holiday.
