26.3.2.1 Searching
In a print dictionary, the information is stored sequentially, and the only outer access structure available in the usual type of general-language dictionary is via the access alphabet. In an electronic dictionary, the access alphabet and, hence, the macrostructure become almost irrelevant. Although it is still possible, there will very seldom be a need for browsing through the dictionary text entry by entry in alphabetical order.
