By summing up the results of the research studies conducted in conditions of simulated driving, it has been found that the authors of these studies were looking into impacts the use of various modes of mobile phones while driving has on driving performance in different traffic situations. Generally, these studies have confirmed negative influence of mobile phone use while driving which is reflected in reduced driving performance in a way that the time of driver’s reaction increases, a vehicle loses correct position in a lane and the speed of a vehicle decreases. It is important to note that these studies have shown that content and level of emotional intensity attached to the conversation play significant role when it comes to the reduction in driving performance.
