I started to fall in love with Japanese culture in sophomore year of high school when, upon going on a week-long cultural exchange, and returned to find a root of interest in myself, which has been gradually growing since then. I wanted to know and learn more about Japan. Finally, I got another chance in sophomore year of college, when my friend and I saved up some money and started a small business as purchasing brokers for a week, as all the fee for the trip and business was provided by us only. “Did we succeed?” The answer is that we did. I learned a lot from that trip, such as how to work by myself and how to communicate in Japanese when asking for directions or ordering a specific product. I find that Japanese people are all very kind, no matter their age or class. During my time as a purchasing broker I also got the chance to explore Tokyo, and gladly wandered around the city, finding things that caught my eyes and then went on to understand more about the way of life in Tokyo.
