Hi Austin, if containers are held at transshipment port I cannot see this can be the shippers fault. This is the lines free choice. We cannot surely incur demurrage due to the fact the line has not shipped the material to the final destination.
Please reassure the buyer to weigh and check seals are fully intact and photograph carefully prior to customs inspection and seal breaking – any shortages must be reported whilst this evidence is available and seals intact. We will then advise next course of action. Rest assured if presented with the details we need and this procedure followed all shortages will of course be settled.
