Abstract: according to the Shandong Laizhou Sanshandao gold mine pit of high steep rock slope stability problem, considering the water level on the slope of the water pressure, transient seepage field, stress field, the calculation theory of improving the stability of rock slope; slope selection 487 exploration, using the improved displacement theory combined with the calculation of slope in horizontal direction the limited value of the finite element method, compared by the deep hole inclinometer measuring data, verify the practicality of the theory, and analysis of rock slope in rainfall infiltration process, the relationship between the safety factor of slope transient changes with time. The research results show that the theoretical calculation of slope in horizontal displacement and deep hole inclinometer measurements were compared, found that the calculated value is consistent with the measured values, the maximum error is 0.02mm, this method has good practicability on the seepage state of slope stability analysis; curve slope transient safety factor under the condition of rainfall over time a "V" shape, compared with the safety coefficient of rainfall after rainfall has decreased by 10.12%; rainfall infiltration caused the rise of ground water level, the minimum safety coefficient of slope, transient saturated zone is concentrated in the range of free face of the slope in 5-30m.
