The combination of random ecofriendly copolyesters containing butylene succinate and triethylene succinate (TES) with CNC has been proposed by Fortunati and Gigli [246] as a new class of biodegradable materials for flexible film manufacturing. They assessed the effect of TES and CNC content on the mechanical, physical, and thermal properties of the produced films, and found a tunable capacity of the properties by the interaction of CNC with the matrixes.
