As a result of announcements made earlier in the year and the new organizational chart of NVS announced in August, there are organization changes that will impact monthly reporting:

- Pharmaceuticals division split into two business units: Pharmaceuticals and Oncology, and the division renamed to Innovative Medicines (IM)
- New Organizational Units are to be setup for cross-divisional management of Technical Operations, and Global Drug Development (GDD) and Quality Assurance (QA)

These changes will require the build of a new Profit and Loss structure to internally report the Innovative Medicines Division into the 2 Business units, and also to segregate the costs related to the Organizational Units.

Please find attached the link to the v1 Finance Organizational Unit Functions and the v1 Finance Innovative Medicines Playbooks which details the steps which need to be taken by local affiliates to enact the change in reporting from January 2017.

These Playbook versions are shared with you as a pre-read to be updated over the next week and the next versions will be uploaded to the Program Blue Portal on 13th October. To support the launch of the Playbooks, FRA Ops will be holding two support calls for finance teams on Thursday 13th October at 9am and 3pm CET. A formal invitation will be sent to you shortly.
