When we wrote that chorus we had no idea what it would become or what kind of new meanings it would take on. We hadn’t even known that Avicii heard the song, let alone that one day it would play such a role as this. We only wrote about life, and the struggles we all face to keep it together in our darkest hours. Not until months after Tim passed had we learned that he had been working on his own version of “Hold The Line”. As we finally heard the demo he had left behind, it was a surreal experience - almost as if he was there with us that day in the studio. I imagine it requires no explanation, the weight this song has since taken on for us. We’ve only to say that we are incredibly humbled, and honored, to be included amongst his final collaborators. Our only wish for this song now is that it finds you when you need it most, and that it honors not just Tim’s memory, but the memory of all of the many friends and family we’ve all lost. If you are struggling, you are not alone. It’s okay to be not okay. Stay strong, and hold the line
