The normalisation of doingmore, of producing more with digital technologies and, as Judy Wajcman observes, in Pressed for Time, of being increasingly busy, harriedand short for time,is indeed an ideological tool in contemporary digitalcapitalism. Today, not only activists but also professionals, students andunemployed people are expected to be digitally connected, regardless ofage or level of media literacy; they are expected to be prepared to performfinancial transactions, to communicate and advocate over the internet.
