摘要：随着科技的发展和大学英语改革的要求，电影教学在英语教学中的优势越来越受到教师的重视。本文从以下三个方面简要论述了的电影教学在英语教学中的作用：一是兴趣的培养；二是语言水平的提高；三是跨文化交际能力的提高。但是，电影教学真正作用的发挥主要还要靠教师引导学生在课外不断实践和练习，让学生有强烈的兴趣主动自觉的学习英语。
