7.2 Malfunctions
Complaint Cause? Remedial action
► No power supply ► Check that the appliance is plugged into the
power supply
► Power supply interrupted or mains
switch not in “on” position
► Check power supply. Check mains plug and
fuse (UK)
► Set appliance to 0/off and switch on again.
Appliance not working
No symbols light up
Is the red „fill up tank“ light the
only light that is on?
► Water tank is empty
► The float in the water tank is stuck
► The float in the water tank is not
present
► Reed sensor is defective, interrupted,
not plugged into the electronic board
► Fill up water tank.
► Clean the water tank and ensure that the float
can move upwards.
► Replace water tank
► Plug in or replace reed switch
Is the orange “stand-by” light
the only light that is on?
► No T DISC inserted ► Check if T DISC has been inserted. Insert T
Disc and close brew mechanism
► The barcode could not be detected ► Clean the barcode reader´s window and try
again or smooth the barcode on the T DISC out
with your thoumb
► Use another T DISC or Service T DISC
► Barcode reader not activated. Lid
switch not closed
► Check and replace lid switch and trigger
► Barcode reader not working ► Check and replace barcode reader
Does the orange “stand-by”
light flash then go to stand-by?
► The barcode could not be detected ► Clean the barcode reader´s window and try
again or smooth the bar code on the T DISC out
with your thoumb
► Use another T DISC or Service T DISC
All lights are staying on? ► Electronics board defective ► Replace electronic board
