DESCRIPTION
Nafcillin for Injection, USP is a sterile semisynthetic penicillin derived from the penicillin nucleus 6-amino-penicillanic acid. It is resistant to inactivation by the enzyme penicillinase (beta-lactamase). Nafcillin is the sodium salt in a parenteral dosage form and has the fllowing structural formula:
