2. Experimental
2.1. Catalyst preparation
The tungsten-substituted mesoporous SBA-15 materials
(MWS) were prepared using Pluronic P123 triblock polymer
(EO20PO70EO20, Mav = 5800, Aldrich) as template
under acidic conditions. Briefly, a solution of 24 g of
EO20PO70EO20 was added to 840 ml of 2 M HCl to yield
a transparent solution. After stirring for several hours at
313 K, 51.2 g of tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) was quickly
added into the solution, stirred for half an hour, then the
pre-designated amounts of aqueous sodium tungstate solution
(NaWO4 Æ 2H2O) were added dropwise under vigorous
stirring, and the sample was further hydrothermally treated
at 368 K for 3 days. The solid products were recovered by
filtration and calcined at 823 K for 5 h to obtain a pale-yellow
powder of MWS. The molar ratio of Si/W in the prepared
gel is in accord with that in the starting solution,
because the tetraethylorthosilicate and sodium tungstate
are deposited completely by hydrolysis.
