According to the previous passages

According to the previous passages (John 14:1-2), there is no need for Jesus to prepare a place in the heaven, i.e., his Father’s house. I think that from this point Jesus is talking about ‘a place’ which he is going to prepare in his disciples, not in the heaven. This promise is fulfilled by the coming of the Holy Spirit through whom the Triune Godhead lives with man, and vice versa.
