Based on the presented results, it can be stated that the SiEQ method has the potential to be used as an alternative approach for calculating the characteristic solidification temperatures of multi-component aluminum alloys as well as some of their thermo-physical and metallurgical properties.The accuracy of calculated parameters is quite high and, if necessary, can be improved by more precise calculation of the corresponding polynomial coefficients in Eq. (4) for each particular Al-Xi binary system.the proposed method can be applied for any aluminum alloys with known chemical compositions.
