Dyeing polyester with disperse dyes requires employing dispersant additives to raise the dispersion stability, solubility, leveling, and fastness properties.[9–12] However, the dispersants may cause staining on the fabric and have a negative effect on dye uptakes, they are also discharged with the dyeing effluent, significantly increasing the chemical and biological oxygen demand (COD and BOD) values of the effluent and causing environmental problems due to their large amounts.[13] Thus, the progressing efficient dispersants for disperse dyes, which can diminish the effect of the dispersants, have been enthusiastically desired from the environmental security perspective in which appropriate anchoring groups, soluble tails, and their constructions should be considered carefully.
