Morphological and physiological characteristics were tested as
follows, cell and colony morphology, gram stain and catalase
reaction, growth at 10 C and 45 C tested in MRS broth, growth
with 6.5% and 18% NaCl (beef extract 10 g l1, peptone10 g l1,
glucose10 g l1, bromcresol purple 0.02 g l1, corresponding
amount of NaCl), fermentation type tested in MRS broth with
inverted Durham tubes incubated at 30 C.
