We are writing to you as you have bid on or been watching an auction
on Lauritz.com that was due to end today.
Unfortunately today we experienced technical difficulties on
Lauritz.com and many of our customers were unable to bid on lots at
the auctions. This means that the bidding process has not been
technically correct.
As an auction house we have to make sure that all auctions are correct
and everyone is able to bid. This means we have to extend the affected
auctions, as stated in our conditions of purchase.
The auctions have been extended. So you have the opportunity to bid on
the item again.
We also refer to our conditions of purchase on www.lauritz.com, which
state: ‘However, Lauritz.com reserves the right to withdraw a lot from
the auction or to prolong or restart the auction if outside
interference, technical difficulties or other circumstances arise
that, according to the evaluation of Lauritz.com, make these steps
necessary.’
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your
understanding.
