I had a sprint account who's number was "integrated" into google, replacing my google number with my cellular number. I recently canceled my sprint account and then ported it (my sprint/google number (xxx-xxx-1874)) to a new carrier (freedompop) who can't seem to make use of it because google won't/can't release it from its integration with sprint.
Initially when trying to disable the integration I was getting a generic error message saying there was a problem and to try again in 15 minutes. After a dozen or so attempts at 15 minute intervals I gave up for the day. Today I get an error message telling me to contact sprint. Sprint claims to be unable to release it at this point as the number has already been ported.
From the little bit of research/googling I did; hundreds upon hundreds of people have been running into this exact same issue for well over four years now. After finding this forum and reading how someone there at google was helping dozens upon dozens of people on an individual basis to resolve this very same issue, I am hopefull that someone might help me as well.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME FIX THIS!!!
