Rough Copy are a British boy band formed by Kazeem “Kaz” Ajobe, Sterling Ramsey and Joseph “Joey” James. They finished fourth on the tenth series of The X Factor in 2013. They originally auditioned for the ninth series in 2012 and got to the “judges’ houses” stage, but were forced to back out as Nigerian-born Ajobe was unable to obtain a visa in time, which would have made it almost impossible for him to re-enter the UK.
In 2014, Rough Copy signed a record deal with Epic Records and are currently working on their upcoming debut studio album, scheduled to be released later this year. The debut single is called ‘Street Love‘ and will be released on iTunes (UK) on May 30th. The single alongside the premiere of the music video were premiered on VEVO on Monday May 12th.
The trio can achieve success through the gap left by the boy band JLS after their separation last year. ‘Street Love‘ is a sensual R&B/Soul electro-ballad and it’s pretty dope from the very first listen.
