Researchers have investigated the physical flow and dynamics
of product flow in terms of transport, warehousing, inventory management, repair,
re-use and recycling. Information on how to establish the governance structure which
can support the processes of the RL system is a gap in the current body of knowledge.
This paper seeks to fill this gap through researching the governance structures that
developed for RL systems as two service led supply chains established a new process to
reuse parts. Gaining an insight into the mechanisms which support movement between
Supply Chain Governance Structures (SCGS) as a RL system develops is one of the
contributions of this research. The finding from this research will provide significant
new information for practitioners and academics.
