In game-based learning, game rewards are often regarded as an effective element for the success of the gamification process, which may stimulate students' participation in the game learning process (Dicheva et al., 2015; Leftheriotis, Giannakos, & Jaccheri,2017). Some studies have found that high reward availability could capture the learners' attention even when that stimulus was neverphysically salient (Failing & Theeuwes, 2017). Many studies have confirmed the importance of game rewards in gamified learning. For example, in their experiment with elementary students, Filsecker and Hickey (2014) found that students in the reward conditionshowed significantly larger gains in conceptual understanding. However, some studies presented opposite findings related to gamerewards. For example, Hanus and Fox (2015) found in an experiment that the non-game-reward learning group outperformed thegame-reward group
