本设计用于处理的电镀废水包括含铬废水、含氰废水和其他废水。由于电镀废水的污染日益严重，传统的处理方法效率和效果得不到保证，所以改进电镀废水的处理方案成为了一个越来越重要的问题。为了做到环保并且尽可能减少投资，含铬废水采取硫酸亚铁－石灰处理技术，含氰废水采取碱性氯化处理技术。含铬废水、含氰废水分别经过处理后，与其他废水混合变成综合废水。综合废水采取“絮凝沉淀+水解酸化+SBR”的组合方式进行处理，经过处理的废水出水水质达《污水综合排放标准》一级排放标准的规定排放或回用。
本工程的总投资为762.76万元，年运行费用为184.2万元，处理单位废水量的成本为1.01元/m3。本文设计的方法可以对水污染起到一定的治理作用，但是对水环境的保护更多的还是要我们一起努力，保护环境，人人有责
