Families who remained in the study until age 15 did not differ significantly in minority status from families who failed to continue, but they were more likely to be considered above the poverty line according to their income-to-needs ratio, χ (1, N= 1273) = 27.25, p < .001; to have an older mother, r(1362) = .14, p < .001; and to have a mother with more years of education, r(1361) = .14, p < .001.
