Greetings of good health and Prosperity!
An estimated 110-140 families are now vacated at Brgy Hall of Maitom, Tandag City due to arm conflicts between NPA and Phil Army. These families are legitimate civilians and many of them are my students caught in the middle of almost a week battle. I talked with some of the evacuees this morning and I felt their fear not only because of the bullets that may kill them but it’s also hunger. Some of them do not know where to run anymore, waiting only for relief from the city government which is not enough.
This season is supposed to be a season of joy however it is the opposite that is happening to them especially to the children. But behind all these tragedies, we could still put a smile in their faces with just a small amount of food we can give them.
God’s very word in Matthew 25: 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Would you grab this moment to feed our least fortunate brethren? Please feel free to respond to this privilege to bless others. May you experience the greatest joy one can ever feel through giving. God bless you!
