215). Death euphemism originating from taboo also reflects strong cultural motivation.
According to Neaman and Silver(1983:13), "The motives for generating euphemisms are
as diverse as the range of human emotions." This section will focus on the analysis of the
cultural motivation of death euphemism from the following aspects.
