Teaching is tiring in an invisible way (Chiang 2002). Lord and Harvey (2002) suggested that when employees’ job involvement is high, they may reappraise or redefine their work. The emotional loads that teachers bear may change according their personal adjustments. This change can, in turn, influence their job involvement (Lee & Ashforth, 1996). emotional labor can lead to emotional exhaustion, followed by job burnout and low job involvement (Wu & Cheng, 2006; Grandey, 2000).
