We used Pearson and Spearman’s Bivariate Correlation coefficients in SPSS 14.0 (SPSS Inc, Chicago, IL, USA)to compare the genetic distance maps of mitochondrial and nuclear DNA markers. Pearson’s correlation coefficient measures linear relationships between variables.
